WUFA Information Meeting

So, today my friends and I made the intrepid trek to the Caboto Club and after much confusion on where it actually was, we were successful.

Overall, it was a chance for students to wander around and ask professors what was going on and each prof had a specific aspect that they were well versed in that they could talk about. It was great because profs were approaching students and asking what they were wondering about and it was great to get a chance to talk to a multitude of profs from all different disciplines, like Political Science, Biology, Labour Studies, Communications, etc. I think that the silver lining in this whole thing has been the chance for the different faculties to get to know each other.

Obviously there wasnt much extra information that I didnt know already, the University Admin has started talking about re-evaluating their stance. As their website says:

Nonetheless, and with the intent of having classes resume as quickly as possible, the University bargaining team is reviewing its position with a view to re-engaging the WUFA bargaining team with the assistance of the mediator.

Tomorrow there is a UWSA hosted protest, a memorial for lost learning that is in front of the CAW Centre at 2.30.
